Create Certificates

To release app in your Developer Account, and to make push notifications work, Trainero needs some certificates.

App Signing Certificate

Go to: https://developer.apple.com/account/resources/certificates/list This is a centralized place where you can manage Apple app signing certificates.

Click ”Create a Certificate”, or click the blue plus button, if you already have some certificates available.

Select ”Apple Distribution” and click “Continue”.

Upload the file ”Trainero.certSigningRequest” that is provided by Trainero.

After this step, the certificate is created. Click “Download”, save it to your computer, and send it to the Trainero’s contact person.

NOTE! If your browser auto-translates texts, disable that and keep the language in original English. Otherwise, the download button will not work.

IMPORTANT! This certificate will expire in 12 months, so you need to create a new one every year. Without a valid certificate, Trainero cannot release new updates. Trainero will notify you 1 month prior to the deadline.

Push Key Certificate

Click ”Create a key” or click the blue plus button, if you already have some keys available.

Enter a name for they key “pushnotifications”, and select “Apple Push Notifications service (APNs)” and click “Continue

Click ”Register

The key has been created. Click “Download” to save it to your computer. Send the key file to Trainero’s contact person.

NOTE! Push key certificate does not expire, so you only need to create it once.
